Odoo 19 to Odoo 20 migration — test first, then upgrade without surprises.
Odoo 20 (September 2026) is a one-version jump, but it changes access rights, accounting terms and Field Service. We test your database on a copy, adapt your modules and move your data with zero loss.

What changes from Odoo 19 to 20
An upgrade isn’t a copy-paste. Here’s what actually has to be done — and what we handle for you.
A one-version jump — tested on a copy of your database before anything changes.
Access-rights changes in Odoo 20 — custom security rules are checked and adapted.
Field Service is now part of Planning — reports, automations and dispatch flows move to Planning shifts.
Accounting renames (payment statuses, parent accounts) — custom reports and filters updated.
Integrations on the older external API checked, with a plan for the newer JSON-2 API.
Your code and your data — both move
Most migrations only move your data and leave your customizations behind. We do both: your custom modules are rebuilt for Odoo 20, your full history is migrated and validated, and nothing goes live until you’ve signed off. Community or Enterprise, on-prem or odoo.sh.
Validated, record by record
Your database migration is checked at the record level with a full audit trail from source to target. Customers, invoices, transactions and history are reconciled against the original — no orphaned references, no dropped records. If a number doesn’t match, it doesn’t go live.

Migration questions, answered
There is no rush if you mostly use standard apps: Odoo 19 has standard support planned until September 2028. Upgrade when Odoo 20’s features are worth it to you, and test on a copy of your database first. If you use Field Service or heavy custom security, plan extra time.
Mostly custom code: security rules, reports built on renamed accounting statuses, field service customizations (Field Service is now part of Planning) and integrations on the older external API. Standard data and configuration usually upgrade cleanly; the free audit lists what applies to you.
No. Every record is migrated and validated against the source, and nothing goes live until you’ve reviewed it.
We rebuild and test your customizations for Odoo 20 rather than dropping them — including security rules, reports and views affected by the new version.
Odoo runs the version upgrade on Odoo Online, but you should still test your Studio changes, automations and integrations on a test copy before you accept it. We can run that check for you.
It depends on the size of your database, how many custom modules need adapting, and which apps and integrations you use. After a free migration audit we give you a fixed quote, so the price doesn’t grow during the project. Odoo license fees are separate — see Odoo pricing.
