What the Wage Protection System requires

WPS is run by the Central Bank of the UAE with MOHRE, and it is compulsory for all private-sector companies registered with MOHRE.

The SIF file

A fixed-width text file in the MOHRE format — one row per employee per pay period, with pay, allowances, deductions and IBAN.

Submission via a WPS agent

The SIF goes to a bank, exchange house or authorised fintech registered with the Central Bank of the UAE.

At least 80% of the wage

Paid amounts must match the MOHRE labour contract, with each employee receiving at least 80% of their contractual wage.
