UAE e-invoicing in Odoo — ready for the 2026 mandate
The UAE is rolling out mandatory e-invoicing on the Peppol network in the PINT AE format, exchanged through a Ministry-approved Accredited Service Provider (ASP). Odoo creates the invoice; OdooVizion maps it to PINT AE and wires up your ASP so you are compliant before your deadline.

What the UAE e-invoicing mandate requires
The UAE Ministry of Finance has adopted a decentralised, Peppol-based model. To comply, your invoices need to be the right format, sent the right way, and archived correctly.
PINT AE format
Structured XML/UBL invoices that follow the Peppol International Invoice – UAE specification, not PDFs or scans.
Accredited Service Provider
Invoices are exchanged through a Ministry-approved ASP on the Peppol network — you must appoint one.
Five-corner Peppol model
Sender, sender's ASP, receiver's ASP, receiver and the tax authority — exchange and reporting in one flow.
Validation & archiving
QR codes, digital signatures and compliant archiving so every invoice clears validation and stays auditable.

UAE e-invoicing FAQs
What is PINT AE and Peppol?
PINT AE is the UAE's national specification of the Peppol International Invoice — a structured XML invoice format. The UAE uses a five-corner Peppol model, so invoices are exchanged between trading partners through accredited providers rather than a single government portal.
Do I need an Accredited Service Provider (ASP)?
Yes. Under the mandate, e-invoices must be transmitted through a Ministry-approved Accredited Service Provider. An ERP alone is not compliant — you need Odoo correctly mapped to PINT AE plus a connected ASP, which is exactly what we set up.
When is the UAE e-invoicing deadline?
A pilot and voluntary phase began on 1 July 2026. Businesses with revenue of AED 50 million or more must comply from 1 January 2027 (and appoint an ASP by 30 October 2026), with smaller businesses following on 1 July 2027 and B2G from 1 October 2027.
Does Odoo support UAE e-invoicing?
Yes. Odoo 19 produces structured electronic invoices; we configure the PINT AE field mapping, QR code and digital-signature requirements, and connect Odoo to your chosen accredited ASP on the Peppol network.
Is it for B2B and B2G invoices?
Yes — the mandate covers B2B and B2G transactions for VAT-registered businesses. We make sure your Odoo invoicing flow is ready for both.
